I like the concept, I think the execution is not only sloppy but ruined the potential 😔 I would've rather met with a confused shadow of Cat Artist trying to make sense of more or less the same cases, and revealing it was her own work... though it's not longer her, just the remnants of her memory

I was actually mad during that but it's just going to not matter because I'm guessing the girl is alright and will be back... I have many thoughts about how they decided to go about this but like, I don't wanna bother to write them all down, because I don't enjoy critique fests 😮💨 they're tiring

because the script writers wanted the shock value without the actual impact that would have, and because they know the people are still fine over in the ink parallel Danqing

So I'm finally playing Danqing and wow, if I'd thought it was giving Peak Majesty when it came out, I'm doubly thinking that now.

Wenren Dian is a terribly melancholic character, and while this event was a great lore dive into Cloud, it was mostly about him and Yunyi, and what that bond did for him.
His death affected him greatly, but with that shadow he left... he could find closure.

It's interesting how Cat Artist did something very similar to what Wenren Dian did with Yunyi but... seemingly on a grander scale, to make everyone more vivid/lifelike.
I feel that because of the power she had to exert, she's not around anymore (haven't finished the story but that's the vibe I get)
