I'm convinced the Terraria loot pool is self-aware and actively moves around what you really need. I started a new world and I'm 5 hours in, have max health, a good weapon, but no boots. I go to the desert and come out with a conch, chisel, and two snake things....

Some pre-Mech Duke Fishron loot. I'm doing this as a ranger, so the key drops for me are the bow and wings. Took me 6 tries to get everything and only died twice.
I'm feeling more comfortable with the fight in general, but the 3rd phase still makes my heart race.

Watching my games update in Steam and seeing the download blow through over a gig in seconds makes me remember the struggle of downloading a 3 MB mp3 off Napster for hours, then losing it at the last second because someone called my house and cut off the modem.
I'm pretty damn old.

most people build iron farms to have unlimited iron for hoppers and other technical stuff...
I needed a stack of smithing tables for a ceiling. For my storage room. It's hard to beat that bottom texture.
They're still reachable, so I can use them for my netherite upgrades and trims. That's a plus.

I have some 3rd phase issues that I need to clean up, but I can tell that the first 2 phases are getting better. I'll keep improving on it.

Just because the flare gun deals damage does not mean it's a viable weapon.
That being said, the flares did good damage over time to the goblins, so I guess it was a good supplement to my other guns since I can't get meteor shot yet in this world.
I'd still rather use grenades, though.

Shoutout to the Spectrum guy that came to work on my internet connection. Had to change out a couple of pieces of equipment, but everything seems to be working great again. Just streamed for 4 1/2 hours and dropped zero frames.
It's much better than the 22,000+ frames I donated to the void earlier.

Just ran a speed test on my internet and it looks like my upload speed has somehow recovered. I guess maybe my ISP figured out what was happening and fixed it.
I'll try to stream tomorrow and see if it works out. Knocking on wood and keeping my fingers crossed.
