I respect people who have a principled, personal (or organizational) commitment to non-violence. I agree that targeted political violence can impose consequences on people who do not deserve them & therefore we can't be cavalier about it. But the idea that violence is never the answer is just absurd

Also, immediately giving all power to whomever decides what ‘violence’ includes. Not a great opening salvo!
