Some time passed until the family pulled up to the restaurant, parking the car he looked at his kids.

“Alright we’re here, doesn’t look too busy so we should be able to get a table quickly.

“Cheesecake Factory… I think I’ve heard of it, there seem to be a good amount of locations down in the US.”

Shinei tapped his finger on the wheel rhythmically to the song playing on the radio as he focused on driving.

“I just hope it’s as good as they say it is, it’s expensive isn’t it?”

“That’s a good question… Akito put the place on the GPS.”

Shinei glanced over at Akito, waiting for him to set it up so that he could begin driving.

“Would you want to see it? I’m practically done with it besides a few finishing touches. Ah- lets talk more about this when we get back.”

His attention was taken away by Akito, watching as he walked out Shinei entered the car and waited for them.

“Let’s get going, we don’t have all day.”

He glanced over at Ena, rubbing his beard in thought if he should tell her or not.

“Well… it’s more of a personal piece if anything, just something I’ve been working on the side. I must admit though… it’s taken me a bit to do. I don’t usually draw human bodies”

He laughed to himself.

He grabbed his keys and smiled slightly, it made him happy that his kids still wanted to include him in things, even if it was just because he could drive.

“Don’t take too long. I’ll be waiting for you both outside. And don’t forget to turn off the lights on your way out," he said, walking out.

Shinei grumbled for a second as he looked back into his studio, the piece he was working on was more personal if anything so there was no deadline for it, he could spare a few hours with his kids he thought.

“Are you both ready? I don’t want to have to wait outside for the both of you…”

Akito’s father had cracked the door slightly, peeking his head through. It was as if he was trying to hide something but no one could be sure what it was.

“Hm? What do you want? I’m working on a project at the moment.” He questioned.

You were busy and I didn’t want to bother you I’ll be fine, really.

My back won’t go out anytime soon, it was just heavier than I thought is all.

Really..? Well thats relieving to hear, I thought you’d say no.

We can discuss it over some pancakes, I’ll make them in a bit.
