The comment made Amy’s stomach turn. With gritted teeth, she repressed the desire to claw the man’s eyes out. Do I look like some fucking dog? Lucius smiled, placing his hand on Amy’s shoulder for a moment before turning to the rest of the guests. “Everyone, please take your seats.” Amy was seething inside. Maybe I should just break this third rule and see how much carnage I can inflict with a pair of steak knives. As everyone began taking their seats, Amy turned her gaze down and, while focussing on her breathing, took her place at the end of the table. Keep calm. Don’t do anything you’ll come to regret—you just got out of the pit and have no nails left to be pulled. She shuddered at the thought of all Lucius might do instead to punish her.

Aislinn tried to move, but her arms were now paralysed too. What did he do to me? Tears streamed down her face. Blue? Blue, where are you? Save me! The demon crouched down in front of her. He grabbed her by the hair and lifted her head up so he could see her face. Their gazes met, his red eyes full of sinister joy, and he grinned, exposing multiple rows of sharp teeth. Oh, fuck… Her hands went down his body, one slipping beneath the rim of his trousers to grip his butt while the other felt the outline of his erection pressing against the fabric. Her fingers touching him caused him to growl softly and now it was her turn to smirk. She stroked his length, teasing him by leaving the barrier intact. Blue tugged at her hair, pulling her head aside, and grazed his pointy teeth along her neck before grunting, “Kitten wants more, huh?” His hand went down her side, leaving goosebumps in its wake. “Just don’t forget: I’m not human.”

Her eyes widened when she saw dark blood flow from the cut and she opened her mouth to voice her horror, but the lord pressed his arm against it before a sound could pass her lips. “Drink, before more gets onto the linens.” His stern gaze locked with her terrified one. The warm, metallic fluid pooled into her mouth, yet her body refused to swallow. Frozen in fear, she just let the quantity of blood increase. Lord Deminas noticed and tugged slightly at her hair. “If you want to get better, drink.” Tears fell from her eyes as she closed them. She focused on swallowing, but it took several seconds before she finally managed to do so. The strange sensation of such a large volume of blood passing through her throat made her shiver. After the second gulp, she brought her hands up to grasp the lord’s arm. The initial fear was waning, and her tongue tentatively moved against the cut, causing a mischievous smile to appear on the lord’s face. “Now that’s a good servant.”

Focusing only on what I saw as romantic, the relationship with Nina, I loved it. They were adorable together. - Meya and Nina were a very enjoyable couple, at least, and those were the two that I liked a lot. They were very wholesome and excellent in general. I had fun reading about them quite a bit. I was glad there was consensual understanding between everyone involved in the relationship, of course, and enjoy such rep! I just didn't like Lord Deminas as a character in the dynamic at all. Another character I enjoyed was, of course, Nina – another of Lord Deminas’ slaves who becomes quick friends and confidants with Meya. She is extremely strong and kind-hearted and I, again, loved her growth throughout the story, and I’m excited to see whatever a potential sequel has in store for her. - Nina: sweetest girl ever I loved her also. I love women love interests and I like how her and Lord Deminas personality contrast and shes like the sweet one. - Throughout the book, Meya maintains open sexual relationship with both Deminas and fellow slave Nina, and the relationship between the women is beautiful; a true highlight of the book. - I really enjoyed this book, the title made me expect a F/M romance but the F/F was more fun for me. Not really referring to the spicy stuff, but just the way the two women interact with eachother, it's really cute.
