Not all *employers* have hella money. I work 4 myself. Was *much better* off financially as an *employee*. Thing is, I think, that lumping all employers together as having a luxury, doesn't take the problem solving far. I pay *above* market. I don't profit as much. I'm happy, but it's not luxury.

Agree that taxpayers ought not to be a safety net for businesses. We don't do a good job of being safety nets for people.

My point didn't have anything to do with being bailed out, though. I don't think employers should get bailed out. Sometimes businesses will fail. My Q was about comment that being an employer is a luxury. Maybe it's a privilege? I feel like framing it as a luxury will do damage in the long run. 🤷♀️

What if you're trying to be a good employer? (treat people fairly, create community where we take care of members, create win-win situations, etc.) Is it still a luxury? It truly doesn't feel luxurious the way I am doing it. 🤷♀️
