Title: Homecoming Prince, Chapter 17 Summary: Pudding lets out a giggle and playfully brushes against Sanji’s shoulder. “You’re such a charmer. I would love to hear it, though. What does a romantic like you dream about?” The blond hesitates. He grabs one of the towels and dries his hands, thinking of how to respond to her question. He doesn’t think he’s ever shared his thoughts on romance with anyone before - not even his best friend -, and it makes him a little nervous. “I’ve always wanted to have someone to shower in affection,” Sanji admits slowly. “I wanted someone I could take on a perfectly planned date, I wanted to be the prince in shining armor to a beautiful princess.”

Summary of Chapter 12 with the title "In need of Transportation": The sound of elvish words pulls Chopper out of his dissociation and he watches as Sanji offers his waterskin to the elven lady. “Va pellinta e kar va al san.” [You look like you could use a drink] Chopper remembers the Eladrin saying that he’s not been to the Feywild in a long time but the way he speaks makes it very clear that it’s where he’s learned the language. You can hear it in the way he pronounces his words that makes it sound like a dance, something fluid and melodic. Compared to that, the way Rasa speaks is almost rural. She’s quite tense when she pushes his waterskin back, gritting out the words, “Kar col’n sinnivi lor tel'quiet.” [Don’t be nice to me]

Nevertheless, the challenge redirects Yonji’s focus on him instead of whatever thoughts have been haunting him, and the green-haired cracks his knuckles in anticipation. “Fine, but don’t come crying to me when I inevitably win.” Sanji gives him a condescending smile. “Do your worst.” Yonji comes at him without any hesitation. His first punch barely misses Sanji’s gut when he side steps the attack on instinct but despite that, Sanji can feel the force behind it. Just like him, Yonji must have trained his body to acquire some undeniable strength, despite being born human. It’s impressive. It takes a lot more out of Sanji than expected to avoid Yonji’s attacks that are coming at him in quick succession. His opponent aims for sensitive spots in an attempt to take him out fast but Sanji also notes how he doesn’t target anything that could cause serious injury. Having fought his brother just recently back in his universe - under less than happy circumstances - baiting this other version of Yonji into a fight should have been a terrible idea. Despite winning against Yonji before, reliving all of that is not something Sanji should want to provoke. But maybe because of that experience, the difference in their way of fighting is even more apparent to him. Sanji’s brother fights with no regard for his own safety and throws punches without thinking. Why should he have to? He’s stronger than anyone he’s ever come across and his body isn’t human. He can barely be hurt, can’t imagine losing to anyone. Clearly, the Yonji in this universe has had his fair share of losses. While still impulsive in the way he attacks, he’s less inclined to take a risk and instead, he switches to the defensive when Sanji retaliates with a kick of his own. He’s not willing to take the hit where his other version might have been too proud to back off.

It's a summary of my project Light a Flame, Chapter 11, reading: "Usopp hears movement but he doesn’t look up. Now that the storm doesn’t mess with his senses, he wants to check for Luffy’s breathing, but his hands are still trembling when he holds his fingers to Luffy’s nose. He doesn’t see his chest moving and his mind starts spiraling. What if he was too late? What if he couldn’t save Luffy? He has to blink away some tears that are threatening to spill over. “He’s… he’s not breathing, I can’t-” He chokes up, unable to continue his sentence."
