Especially the long-tailed tit, which is currently my main focus. It seems like they're almost finished building a nest and they look fabulous. They are also very, very fast.

My grandfather's ~65 years old budget lens, taken off Exa SLR camera.
E. Ludwig 50 mm V at (hopefully) f/2.9, freelensing on 1DX: a quick single shot, just to see what happens.
Let's just say an adapter is on the way, but I like the look of the floating lens.

🪶 I've noticed a cloud of large birds, maybe 30 of them, flying above a forest about 600 meters out. Lots of ravens there, some hawks...
The ravens, although somehow curious, were not overly happy about my presence. And did let me know well. The rest just disappeared before I got close enough.

It's not always that a bird doesn't fit into the frame with 320 mm focal lenght. Probably my favourite birds, ravens, coming up 🪶

This sparrowhawk came in real fast, right during the rush hour at the bird feeders. But the little guys warned themselves early (and loud) enough. 🪶
