Amateur photographer based in the U.K. Just happy taking photos of eclectic everyday things that catch my eyes.

All photos are taken by yours truly.
The muted colours and composition is wonderful. 👏

I see. I’d love to one day. The cast iron spiral staircase reminds me of the old British library science reading room, sadly no longer exists.

Incredible, I love old libraries.

Beauty photo. It reminds me of the Beech Grove by Gustav Klimt. 👏

Is that your hat?

I can literally feel the grease and grime in this photo. 👏

That’s a happy accident indeed. It’s just something professional photographers like to rave about. They do add a little “je ne sais quoi” to photos, but not essential in my book. 😄

That’s beautiful. Are those dewdrops bokeh? 👏

That’s true, it hasn’t occurred to me. I suppose the high contrast black and white treatment gave it a spooky look.

Thank you, but a sense of foreboding? Something like the Phantom of the Opera, maybe? It was taken during a great comeback gig of a 90s Scottish indie band called Idlewild.

Happy to hear it. I remember when Smash came out, and you’re right it was many moons ago!

Looked like a fun gig. I’ve seen them a couple of times and they never disappoint. 🤘

Thank you very much. That’s high praise, indeed. I’m glad you like it. I was looking for a better composition than just taking photos across the river when I noticed the graffiti and then street lamp. Hey presto!
