I was at UT when the VOL hand gesture was first introduced. Everyone back then thought it just looked like “The Shocker.” I am amazed the VOL gesture actually got over here on Rocky Top. 🍊

Think maternity homes were a thing for baby boomers? Think again. They are still around and still terrible. “Liberty Lost” is both a fascinating and infuriating podcast. Highly recommended.

On this day in 1863 on Little Round Top at Gettysburg, the soldiers of the 20th Maine under command of Col. Joshua Chamberlain, low on ammunition but unable to retreat or the Union flank would collapse, charged down to hill and stopped the Confederates.
