I had my transplant from a living donor in 2022. If you're dying of kidney failure and an angel appears, I highly recommend it. My brain fog lifted right on day 1, and my angel is doing well.

I was on peritoneal Dialysis for 2 years before my transplant. It's a great option (when you're out of options), if you're pretty independent.
Those with kidney failure have treatment options like dialysis and kidney transplantation. Unfortunately, many aren't aware of treatment options like peritoneal dialysis.
