Ah, posting little zingers on X where the algorithm is tuned against you and what little engagement they get directly funds America's richest Nazi. 👍

USGS always use Colma as the reference for the earthquakes on this part of the San Andreas, but there aren't any active faults in Colma AFAIK; this one was 3 km SSW.

I really don't want to take this away from you, but it was in Pacifica.

That's like $6 worth of stamps in today's money just to get a sales catalog.

Interesting. They're redeveloping one in South San Francisco right now and the project itself is all commercial (no housing above), but they did a lot split where they're building office and housing on the other 3/4 of the original space. I don't think Safeway owns the underlying land here though?

TIL Leland Stanford actually lived in Sacramento before he became governor.

I agree with this in principle, but it hasn't really worked out in SF with the mods/progs (and formerly an actual Green party) has it?

Uh, I double-checked because they open-sourced their system prompt after that and it looks like it still has one or two problematic sections.

It's an island around Country Club Dr and Alta Vista Dr in South San Francisco. There's been discussion about annexing it for decades, but they want special ultra-low density zoning SSF doesn't have and SSF wants them to pay to connect to the sewer system.

It would be a great holiday present if someone built a skyscraper on one of the one acre lots in the unincorporated Country Club in SSF because those people are huge NIMBYs.

Also, looking back at Elon's "algorithm dump" from March 2023, the analytics segmentation that flags users as Republicans/Democrats was right next to the "Is Elon" flag; probably the first thing he did at Twitter and they've been tuning it for 2.5 years now: solomonmg.github.io/post/twitter...
What can we learn from 'The Algorithm,' Twitter's partial open-sourcing of it's feed-ranking recommendation system? | Sol Messing
Last Friday (2023-03-31) Twitter released what it calls “the algorithm,” which appears to be a highly redacted, incomplete part of code that governs the “for you” home timeline ranking system. And I s...

Because it's a bad school district. 🙃

Yeah, you're repeating her mistake; Pelosi Jr is running for state senator of SF *and* northern San Mateo County so she should probably learn some geography if she wants any of our votes.
