Its a bit of a tough one to talk about. Because I find the bigger issue I have with E33 is the environmental art in general. Dont know if it explains itself after 24 hours of game time but not a fan of random crap just floating in the sky as a majority of what you explore.

I really appreciate Red Dead Redemptions use of volumetric fog.
Its used enough to give a sense of depth but not over used to the point where you cant glean finer details from the areas affected by it.
I never thought id care until more modern games have shown how bad it can get.

Steel book editions are an OCD persons nightmare.
I want it because I like to collect for my favorite franchise. I hate it because it no longer thematically fits on my shelf with the other games from my console collection

Im working on an episode of Boundary Break for Walking Dead Season 2 episode 5 and saw that these magazines and pencil are completely blacked out in the center console of this truck. The game carefully makes sure never to show this by normal means as well.
Any idea why?

Kingdom Heart 1 and 2 are when visuals for brightly colored games peaked.
Colors are bold, textures are detailed, volumetric fog barely exists if at all, and lighting isnt harsh/sterile/"realistic".
Modern games could learn so much from these two games from a visual design standpoint.
