Here for daily doses of dogs, nature, and sanity.
It was also the shortest day of the year. You would have had a very different experience doing the same in June. As a fellow old person, I'm not sure I could stay up and walk the boardwalk at 9:30 pm - even with the added light.

My gosh. Nacho even loved his elders?!?!?! What an amazing dog. I remain so very sorry but now hope Nacho is having a goblet filled with fresh river water and a cigar made of rawhide.

Brazil is my favorite film of all time. I have described it as George Orwell meets Monty Python. I have seen the future and Terry Gilliam filmed it.

I remember feeling like I weighed 400 pounds. Even moving hurt. Dogs are not replaceable. I wish I had words to help. I lost my dog last May and could not even contemplate going through that loss again. Somehow life pulled on me and we got Astro. It's true what they say, the rescue dog rescued me.

Is this a Jack Russell? If so, I cannot say I am one bit surprised by the strength and tenacity. 😂

We were outside three times today. Not for long. Later today, we did what I call "cheese sprints" where he runs back and forth between myself and my boyfriend, with little cheese nuggets at each turn. The goal is to burn off some energy. In better weather, we are out for an hour long walk each day.

We had to bring him in to warm up and he now he wants back out there. So I have say...

It affects us
That he is from Texas.
And you have to know
That now in the snow
He can still perplex us.
