After 26 years at Dalhousie University, yesterday I packed up my office and closed the door. My official retirement date isn't until January, but I'm using some vacation now. I still remember the excitement of being on campus for the first time and saying goodbye today made me a little nostalgic.

I love classic diners. This one in Chicago was closing when I arrived but they whipped me up some currywurst to go. I appreciated it so much! I found people in Chicago so friendly!
