My tattoo artist is fucking amazing. I let her use the other side of my chest as free game for whatever she felt like as thanks for fixing up my botched Florida side, and she was nice enough to give me some proper red spider lilies to match the motif ❤️

I made some ribbons for a con I'm going to. Most of them are inside jokes that only make sense to Certain People, but the Mazoku U ones should hopefully be popular with the #Slayers folks? We shall see, lol.

And just for funsies, although I really wish I had these to re-scan, some later life drawing I did in Florida on my own dime. Local community college allowed anyone in for $10 a weekend. Have not been able to find anything similar since sadly 💦

In that sense, my reason for posting these is to offer them up as inspo for studying these things in the first place, even if you’re mainly doing anime or stylized art like I do.

Even for as little overall time as this class was, it was one of the biggest singular boosts in my confidence on drawing anatomy, and totally changed the way my art came out from then on.

I recently unearthed a series of charcoal works I did during my very first ever life drawing class at the age of 15 (thanks mom for allowing it.) It was 1 one hour session a week over a month. 5, 10, and 30 minute portraits. Relatively in order, I think…it has been 25 years lol.
