Chaz was sat on the bug house at lunchtime so I asked her to deal with the rats that are living under it. She seemed to take this request on board and spent a long while concentrating on it.

Switched the living room back round in anticipation of Holly's arrival. My sofa back by the window to block the view of people/dogs walking past (at least while she gets comfortable) and also the radiator. Bob thinks I'm overthinking things but he forgets we're essentially getting a puppy

I feel like a tree or trees must have gone from this view because Keppel's Column hasn't always been this clearly visible from the back bedroom. Same goes for being able to see the top of the cranes as well! Although that could be because they put up a different model. It's looking cold out there 🥶

Storm always changed colour when it snowed and you discovered that she wasn't truly white 🤣 She rarely barked but for some reason she found snowmen (even headless ones) threatening.

Dug up the biggest hosta from under and, as it turned out, around the feet of the bird table. Split it into 3, so out 2 more in the border and 1 in a spare pot. Bird table feet are in a bit of a state! Reinstated the covered hedgehog feeding station by the hedge.

Some Autumn gardening jobs and bits done. Pyracantha still in full bloom and looking fabulous. Moved one of the Cousin It plants (bronze grass) as the 2 of them together have gone a bit mad. Hopefully this one will suppress some of the weeds that seem to love growing under the ceanothus.
