I’m so pleased with how my ‘Wakulla Springs’ table turned out (transformed from ugly 50s black varnish). First ‘shabby chic’ project with lots of hubby help. I love the reflective nature of top—it truly looks like flowing water. Can’t wait to take it to my office.

I don’t know why painting this table blue eased my mind, but it did. Still a work in progress.

Trying to make an art project out of an ugly table my mom was going to pitch. Hubby hates painting so I’m on my own. Will be interesting to see if it comes out cute or hideous.

No point except cuteness—the first dogs I can remember and how they slept on our back stairs. Snoopy was a beagle/basset mix and Trixie was a little terrier or ‘Feist’ as my grandmother called her. Two good dogs.

Grander in Her Daughters, new edition, at its first festival. (Tallahassee History Festival) Seeing my work ‘in the wild’ is always a thrill. Love the ‘author is here’ card on it.

It’s back in print!! GRANDER IN HER DAUGHTERS: FLORIDA’S WOMEN DURING THE CIVIL WAR has been reissued by the Florida Historical Society Press. Glad to see it again, and in paperback with bigger print! Won the 2005 Rembert Patrick prize.

Just arrived from printer down in Florida—I don’t even have my copy yet—the reissue of my book from 2004 which I had to retype completely! I wanted it to be useful again. Big thanks to Florida Historical Society Press for publishing.

Probably going to delete my X account. Need to pull some favorite shots from it. Here I am speaking at the Atlanta Civil War Roundtable. Had a great visit and I love the hat they gave me!

Wow—big thanks to Elmwood Cemetery in Memphis. I hope folks enjoy the story.

Sighted my book in the wild today at Pearl’s Country Store and Barbeque at Micanopy, Fl. Tiny local spot with surprising range of beer, wine, snacks and Florida history books! I nearly lost my mind. Big construction dude asks—you wrote that? Yes, sir, I did!

So my Sherlockian editor didn’t know I had a history book on Florida tourism. Turns out he was a Disney kid who loved to go to WDW! Always something new to learn about friends. (I like to joke that’s me on the cover when I was a blonde bombshell and my husband when he had hair!)

At least a couple of folks bought copies of my experiment in writing a rather silly southern gothic! I hope they liked it. (Search Tracy Revels on Amazon if curious. For some crazy reason my name is on kindle cover but not print!!!)

Have to share Bijou guarding his Christmas haul. He’s just too cute. Seasons Greetings to all.

My happiest accomplishment of this fall---Sherlock Holmes: Tales of Light, Shadow, and Darkness. Available from MX Publishing and on Amazon. Forty-one stories, also available in three paperback volumes. Classic pastiches, with (hopefully) something for everyone.
