My uncle was good friends with President Carter… I never knew how they became friends as we lived in Michigan and he in Georgia. My uncle always said if you want to find a good man look for his attributes. Nothing but respect for President Jimmy Carter.

Today was a rough day… but Inauguration Day will be worse. That day I will not be equal to others on my people’s land… I will again be like my ancestors… less than and fearing for my life as well as my children and grandchildren
