They never mention it in game but Freya does have a surname its Riis and they gladly drop it to take Astarion’s name once they are married because it’s their father’s name and they don’t want anything to do with it or him ( I will into more detail about it in my fanfic as part of the journey)

For me it was the first time I ascended him it awoke something in me that I had suppressed for long that I had always loved villains ever since I was little watching the lion king and realizing that I loved scar and never knew why and that he was open about his sexuality i only came out as pansexual
