This was in contrast to the citizens with cellphones showing Israel rampant bombing, their struggle to survive and the lack of care put towards their safety.
There will videos of people carrying grocery bags filled with dead bodies and starving children.

Activism is about using the power of the collective to affect change.
Often times this by opposing an oppressive power.
Cellphones are the ultimate expression of the individuals capacity and ability to create change.
It grants anyone the power to contribute to a cause by documenting injustice.

Citizen journalism has the benefit of capturing crimes in action
Most of the time journalism is "he said, she said" and people judge who to believe based on reputation
This leads public officials to get away with more crimes.
However nowadays, there is video evidence for people to see themselves

Citizen journalism has led to a rise in the awareness of the laws being and rights violated by the crackdown on illegal immigration in the US.
This has led to many News articles being run with sympathetic lighting towards undocumented immigrants and many ICE protests.

This video can then be used as evidence to demonstrate violations of the law.
For example this video shows US ICE agents refusing to produce a warrant for private property. No matter what anyone says, this is illegal.

Cameras to be only used by professionals. Spiderman’s old job of catching pictures of Spiderman as a professional photographer is considered outdated.
Since everyone has a portable camera, this has lead to any person being able to document injustices.
