Help me raise $100 more for Michigan Special Olympics! Can you help fill out the bingo card? Link in bio to the fundraiser page. So excited that it is POLAR PLUNGE DAY!

Also, the White House itself even stated that Elon has nothing to do with DOGE, so why does it keep looking like he is involved? His official title is “special advisor to the president.” A man whose money come from federal grants and is a citizen in 3 countries is the advisor to our president.

The problem isn’t DOGE. No one actually has an issue with government funding being scrutinized and administered proportionately to other areas with higher needs. The PROBLEM is who the face of DOGE is. A man with conflicting interests and his business receives a huge amount of federal grant money1/2

I am getting SO TIRED of people in office or running for office and the game plan is literally, “I’m going to rename this already existing policy/office/law/etc., do absolutely nothing new or helpful, and take credit for it like it was my idea.”
It’s especially disheartening seeing it locally.

Hate me if you want (or at least educate me nicely if I’m wrong), but I’m not angry at an EO to reduce the cost of IVF and making it more widely available. I think that is something good. I may not always like him, but I will give good credit where it is due. However, I haven’t looked to closely 1/2

I’m genuinely curious about this.
Team Red Rising, or Team Project Hail Mary, and why?
I’m Team PHM and it’s because I’m really enjoying the humor/sarcasm in the writing. Red Rising is too angry and I’m not enjoying the voice (idiolect) of the MMC.

Took a fun social break this evening at the local winter sports park. $20 for a travel mug which then grants me free, bottomless hot cocoa the rest of winter. 100% the highlight of the day.

An update to a work policy was proposed and sent out to staff to comment on before anything is finalized. If you think I didn’t just rip apart every inch of the proposal, you’d be wrong. When it comes to new job expectations, I always come at them warily. Usually it’s a CYA prop to alleviate admin.

Top two books for book club this month. I’m slowly making my way through Red Rising, and I just purchased the Audible version of Project Hail Mary so I can listen to it while I annotate in the book.
Sci fi is not a favorite genre of mine, but I do love the political themes they often share

Aside from my political rantings, I do want to share less upsetting things here. I absolutely love to read, photograph nature, and listen to podcasts about the paranormal and unsolved crimes (sometimes politics). If you enjoy those things too, share your favorites!

Anyway… White House Office of Faith has been around since 2001 and was establish by the Bush admin. Every presidential term its purpose has been manipulated to push the agenda of whoever is president. This is no exception. Stop drinking the damn, roofied punch, and learn to think independently.

I need to become better about posting here. I’m literally shadow banned on other platforms (meta) because of posting my political opinions. Not even more core group of friends have viewed certain posts or stories because they go and vanish in the ether.

Had grown men (and one woman) literally grimace and shout in my face because I’m wearing sparkle freckles on my face. 1) grow up, 2) loosen up, and 3) it’s a damn festival…

The amount of people suddenly stating that any workers who work from home are lazy.
I’m way ahead of my work right now BECAUSE I can stay home and not be distracted by coworkers who enjoy chatting. It is extremely convenient for my productivity to be able to do this, plus I spend WAY less on gas.

I have signed an executive order to slightly increase total daylight every successive day until June of this year! Our many months of darkness will soon be over! Enjoy!

To correct your statement, it was get the vaccine to be mask free at work or wear a mask. If you won’t do either then your JOB has the right to either place you on leave or fire you. If your job could be remote, then many jobs did that as well to circumvent the vaccine and masks.

I have never seen anyone flip as quickly as Robert F. Kennedy did on the question of whether a woman has the right to control her own body.

Went and visited the Holocaust museum today. This is the second time I have been and I’ve cried each time.

Debating if I bring my camera on my weekend trip to DC… especially since it is the few days before inaug. Choices, decisions. Decisions, choices.

Yay!! Tomorrow is halfway through the week, but it is my Friday.
Celebrating by reading in bed and snoozing early after the Monday of a Tuesday I just had. 😴

I have a tendency to change out my cases like daily outfits, so here is how she currently looks. And yes, mine is a she. I imagine that “she” would be that quirky teacher or librarian who wears big glasses, has space buns, and is always colorful or wearing patterns. The Ms. Frizzle of kindles.

Also, if anyone knows a kindle case seller, or a wholesale manufacturing shop for kindle cases. I’ve been searching high and low for one to sell my own. Some designs I’ve made attached (and watermarked) for attention (and any praise or constructive criticism 🤣).

As an avid Kindle supporter, I am also an avid small business supporter for all of my Kindle accessories. Let me know if you need any recs for cases, stickers, or more because decorating and dressing up my Kindle is probably one of my favorite things. 💕 As well as supporting small business.
