It was a rough week so I actually cooked for Valentine's dinner.

Tomorrow is the 65th anniversary of the Battle of Hayes Pond. As Lumbee men went to Maxton to stop the KKK rally, it is said that Lum women drove the streets of Pembroke waiting for the men to come home. Beginning the Tradition of cruising through Pembroke (driving in town to see and be seen).

Facebook post with a link to a CNN article about the Arizona Supreme court ruling frozen embryos are children. The commentary reads: It has never been about abortion, it is about control. You want kids, but you face infertility? Too bad. You're in the crossfire and conservatives don't care. Pro choice means pro your right to have kids. Pro choice means pro your right to seek infertility treatments like IVF. Pro choice means pro your right to not have kids at all. Pro choices means supporting your right to have access to infertility treatments. If your IVF clinics have to worry about the fact that power loss and equipment failure will leave them with a criminal charge, they will close their doors and leave. You won't have that choice anymore. Miss me with this pro-life nonsense. It's just facade for control.
