I’m afraid most Americans cannot still read and write. I believe it’s more than 50% of Americans now can’t read at a fifth grade level.

The old rule of thumb that one letter (back in the day) was likely representing 10 people. So don’t be discouraged 🥰

Call and write to your Federal, State and local representatives- keep the switchboards flooded. Email addresses are pretty easy to find.
