I came across this bit of internet nostalgia that gave me some hope for the future for 2 reasons. It reminded me that 1. people have been dumb for a long time and math skills haven't necessarily gotten worse 2. there have been some advantages to the youtubes at times:

Children under 18 are still the highest group living in poverty. And despite that instead of wanting to do better by them, the GOP really wants to cut SSI and Medicaid because it's not fair that those leeches haven't "paid into the system". Our depravity knows no bounds in the US.

Now I'm not saying that this has anything at all to do with the death of the CEO of United, or the messages they found on the shells, or the DOJ investigation or anything...

Yikes! A real policy that they're rolling out. As someone who has woken up in an Operating Theater too soon, I can say it sucks even more for the patient than it does for the surgical team.

Yikes! A real policy that they're rolling out. As someone who has woken up in an Operating Theater too soon, I can say it sucks even more for the patient than it does for the surgical team.

For my first post, it's my birthday, and 'twasn't a bad one.
I don't tend to ask for much for gifts, but my baby nephew painted some things and I'll treasure them always. I got to spend time with loved ones. Can't ask for much more than that.
