Anri's got a complicated relationship with "home".
He was very close with his family, but over time, war and MSQ hit him pretty hard. By now, he feels like he's changed so much that it's difficult for him to visit, or even write letters. A rift has grown that he can't put into words.

Due to some quirks of his aether, I like to think Anri is almost completely unable to cast any sort of complex magic, so he'd rely on jobs that use some sort of amp/catalyst, like RDM or SGE.

#wolqotd Anri is absurdly strong to the point of everyday detriment, and his hammer is more or less just a force multiplier. In his Pugilist days, I like to think there were some very bewildering Garlean reports about destroyed Magitek armor showing signs of having been torn open by hand.
