First blooms on our cranberry hibiscus. We waited all summer and after we moved them to the greenhouse we finally have beautiful booms.

What to do on a Saturday morning when three of your besties have buggered off to the cities and left you in charge. Appoint yourselves guardians of the backyard birdie banquet. The feeders are full so Zelda and Curie must ensure the wildlings picnic in an orderly manner. No guests so far.

Imagine how much money we could make if we could charge decent Americans to swing a wrecking ball at the original Epstein compound. We could use the proceeds to begin to restore America!

To celebrate all the resistance’s wins I made chili! My Mom and Dad were both 5th generation Texans and life long democrats in central Texas in the center of the buckle of the Bible Belt. Happy atheists. They owned a steak house and loved feeding people. I miss them so much.

I voted in a deep red gerrymandered state. Will it make a difference? I don’t know but if every member of the resistance votes every time we have a chance at least they know we are here and we want our voices to be heard! Never let them take this sacred right! 💙💙💙

Two of my sweethearts, Zelda on the left, Curie on the right. They are my daily reminders that circumstances can change for the better and sometimes you can even save a life. They give so much in return.

My new buddy. He’s guarding my greenhouse.

I knew this book would hurt. I read it because this incredible woman’s life mattered. Because her story is our story. We owe it to her to refuse to look away. Her message and her legacy are a gift to every American, a gift for tomorrow. Let’s amplify her voice that was silenced for so long.

Reedus is insisting the human he’s sitting on should go outside for a fun game of tennis.

Greenhouse is getting a little crowded. The miniature rose is a hybrid grown from a bare root, yellow and white blooms on the same plant. And a hibiscus bloom.

It’s been a long day. This little guy made me smile.

That’s my reaction as well! I’ve been calling this a greenhouse but maybe it’s more of an escape hatch.

Finally got brave enough to start moving plants into the greenhouse. A few photos before it’s overcrowded.

Curie would like to say Hi to Eeyore. She won’t say the diet gets better but you learn to live with it. Good luck, Eeyore.

Happy Autumn Equinox Everyone!

Our planet sustains us in so many ways. If only we could return the favor.

Happy Sunday morning, Jaye! Such a nice message. Everyone, let’s find our zen today
and hold onto it. 💙💙💙

I’m so excited! Our new greenhouse was delivered today. Gardening has saved my sanity this year. I’ve wanted a greenhouse for so long.
Can’t wait to fill it up.

Zelda ready for a long snooze after her event filled day. Scared the living daylights out of a skunk. Emergency bath with deodorizing shampoo. Shampoo helped but her pack members oddly invoked the six foot rule for the rest of the day. Zelda’s a world class hugger but her humans said no.

Bailey has a country home and a city home, she’s in the city bikejoring with one of her humans. Happy uptown girl.

Isn’t she lovely? Zelda escaped a Texas puppy mill (horrendous conditions) two years ago. She’s a borzoi (Russian wolfhound). She’s nuts. She’s one of our six dogs. So lovable. She is in the laundry room while we fumigate the house. Sprayed in the face by a skunk, second time. Before 5:30am.

Never give up! This is Bradley, self appointed nuisance in our backyard. He provides much needed comic relief.

We have six dogs, three are large breeds. We bought a dehydrator two years ago and it was worth every penny. We make all their treats. And you don’t have to worry about additives. Saves a lot of money. Cats love them too.

Curie, our three legged cat just found out she is overweight and is now on a strict diet and her favorite Temptation treats are right out. And we were told because she’s black and white she’s a cow cat (?). She is not happy.
