I think a lot of this coverage has to do with porn
SO much of it is barely legal content (or marketed as that, whatever the age of the subjects) and we KNOW porn is far and away the thing the internet is MOST used for

I am currently having a meltdown on my Instagram stories about how much I hated del Toro’s Frankenstein (it is the Benson Boone of horror movies) and how del Toro bastardized Mary Shelley, one of the most profound analysts of human nature in art, but at least the creature is kinda hot, that’s nice
