Buying chickens for cheap eggs is only viable if you have enough fodder and area that you don't have to buy 100% chicken feed. Chicken feed is expensive and the government contract very easily who is buying chicken feed and therefore monitor your flock.

Oh and I learned very early at work if there was a fire drill to make sure I grabbed my purse or always kept my keys on me. Because if the building actually burned down and I was in a meeting I couldn't go home.

I just purchased "The Handmaid's Tale" for the THIRD time. First read in 1989, then about seven years ago and rereading it again. After I read it I always gave away the copy but this one I'm keeping.
