Day 8: I got a significantly larger amount done today than I'd expected!

Day 7: My work review went well, and I'm not fired!!

Day 7: I am reminded of the raucous support when I see posts from my friends like @kriskross22.bsky.social and @drdickinson.bsky.social . Your queer friends see it, and appreciate it.

Day 6: My steps have helped me feel better, and I'm in a better headspace

Day 5: I reminded myself I'm allowed to cry when I'm emotionally moved by musical theatre

I think a deranged man as Mrs. Lovett? Older queer lesbians as Dolly Levi and Horace Vandegelder? Shrek existing outside of the Gender-Binary? These things just ENHANCE the stories that already exist. Main Couples on Broadway being predominately cis-het is truly my Roman Empire.

I would ABSOLUTELY re-queer-code musicals! There are so many characters in incredibly popular musicals who are queer-coded, and I think bringing more emphasis to these stories would make it SO dynamic. There are stories and experiences that cis-het relationships can't authentically tell.
