While I can appreciate the sentiment of Lincoln’s words I wish his actions were consistent in supporting them. Sadly this politician benefits from the hero narrative yet he would have maintained slavery if it had kept the Union together. 🤯🫣😥 This is what happens when we bury the uncomfy history.

For those of us with MAGA or GOP family members, I keep thinking about how stunned and anxious they must be feeling. Mixed emotions which we can relate to and acknowledge.
