Warwicks books puts on the best author events. I saw Pulitzer Prize winning author Geraldine Brooks and National Book Award winning author Jesmyn Ward speak this week. It was very inspiring to hear them discuss their writing process, and how their grief informed their newest books.

Nickel Boys was a beautiful and unique adaptation of one of my favorite books. The director puts the viewer into the main character’s perspective, magnifying their experience. I had a hard time watching as I got motion sickness. Nevertheless, well deserved Oscar best pic nominee.

Nickel Boys was a beautiful and unique adaptation of one of my favorite books. The director puts the viewer into the main character’s perspective, magnifying their experience. I had a hard time watching as I got motion sickness. Nevertheless, well deserved Oscar best pic nominee.
The Brutalist was beautiful and had amazing performances. As someone who is obsessed with architecture, this was a fun movie for me. It isn’t my pick for Best Picture - that still belongs to Wicked. 3 more movies to see of the Best Picture Oscar nominations.
