I'm not sure there is a rosy version, but I am coming to believe that it all has to crash and burn before anything can change for the better. I'm thinking protecting as many as we can from the fallout might be our most practical game plan, and is where I'm looking to put my efforts.

It's been proven that free school lunches for all saves money over selective lunch assistance programs, yet Republicans consistently vote it down. They would rather punish children for the crime of being poor than save money themselves. They are willing to pay to starve children.
