For several years I combined heavily textured areas with smooth ones. (The background textured and the still-life objects on smooth portions.) Lots of sanding and carving.... #blueskyartshow #texture

This acrylic painting grew from a photo I took of the interior rubble of an abandoned building in Paldeski, Lithuania. It was one of MANY building the Russians abandoned when they pulled their nuclear submarine base out of the country.

Here is a much smaller painting from the East Slopes of the Rockies series. This acrylic 10"x10" on canvas is of some deadfall near a trail I hike often with my dog.

My most recent completed painting from work inspired by the Eastern Slopes of the Rockies. It's acrylic on cradled board, 36"x36".
