Oh good! Too funny, we have an Athena too (not hyperthyroidism). We had to do a few dose adjustments before Vinny hit the right levels, but he started feeling better and gaining weight back before we totally nailed his exact dose, so I hope your Athena has the same easy response as our Vinny!

I’m not sure how old he is, but our baby started losing weight and not doing great around age 11 (after other med issues were finally cleared up) and it was his thyroid (hyper) Weight stabilized and back to normal at 2 wks meds.

I believe 2024 is the most up to date that any LLM I’ve come across have been fed knowledge. You can lead them to current links, but they all default to 2023 (cant remember which one was Oct 2023) or Jan 2024 as “now.”

Great article, thanks. I can’t believe this is 2025 - I don’t understand this admin’s spreading of ignorance and misinformation on so many things - especially public health, mRNA vaccines and vaccine safety in general.

I make these types of people as uncomfortable as possible with details they definitely do not want to hear and then end with, “and this is why you should take the first answer you hear and move on - if you insist on making me annoyed and uncomfortable, I will happily return the favor.”
