Last lil bit of my “Transfem!Chris picks a new name” fic that somehow gained a Chris/Denny subplot before bed
Chris huffed a laugh. It was a bit dumb, how obsessed they were with each other, but it was a long time coming. Before they even started dating, Denny helped her through her transition. According to their friends at school, it was only a matter of time before they got together. And maybe that's why they worked so well together. The last year was hard on them both, between Chris being out of state and Denny's accident and everything afterward. But they still made it through. Stronger than ever. Denny had always been her biggest cheerleader, since the day she said, there's something going on with me and I can't figure out what it is.

UPDATE ON MY BIRTHDAY PROJECT!!
Chris pulled up an old site she forgot to delete from her bookmarks-catholic.org. When she was in Texas last school year, her grandparents had all but forced her into Catholic school; the same school her dad went to. In that one year, she had used that stupid site more times than was probably necessary. And it wasn't even that good of a site! It was, frankly, Wikipedia for Holy people. But that didn't matter because for once, she found it to be a surprisingly helpful resource. Today, she was going to use it to find herself a Fresh New Name, as the Good Lord had intended. "I am going to ruin your search histories," Chris explained gleefully to the Wilson kids. Mara rolled her eyes playfully. "Oh, joy." "If Cool Math Games gives me an ad for women's underwear or barbeque sauce, I'm suing your ass," Denny added. "What an oddly specific combination," Mara murmured.
