On The Shelf at 19 to watch Parks make That Save..

Jack - Do you think the restructuring will give you and your colleagues more access to the decision makers? Even marginally more polished communication will go a long way with how THFC are perceived.

I think Levy’s tenure aged out, quite literally. Once Joe relinquished control to the family trust, Levy would have known the clock was ticking. Joe propped up Levy and without him this restructuring would have come years ago.

Sentiment is everything,Joe. I was 19 when I watched on from The Shelf in ‘84. This year I was at our Chicago supporters pub with our soon to be 19 year old son. He was waring the same scarf I donned 41 years ago - balled my eyes out at full time.
That’s football, that’s our club.

He won’t go to Saudi, but will he accept the inevitability of being a bench player next season? Levy is betting he will.

Our collective issues with the ownership is nuanced and complex, cut them some slack. Resistance is always imperfect.
Unity is powerful.

I find your take utterly dispiriting. These ‘regular match going supporters‘ you so casually disparage are fighting the good fight - none, I assume are carer PR professionals and may not express themselves as perhaps you might. 1/2

One on the last remaining grounds designed by Archibald Leitch (WHL, Anfield, Old Trafford, etc). It’s why it always felt familiar to us. Sad to see them all go one by one.

First lesson you learn as a lad - have your back to the barrier! 😆

Will be cool that in series two the Prime Minister will be COYS…probably doesn’t bode well for him. 🫣
December 19, 2024 at 1:35 PM
Your are of course correct - conventionally 🫣. Unfortunately, and dispiritingly,we both know that most fan-led orgs at Spurs will be met with lip service only - they are masters at it.
And I fear the fella in question is ill equipped for the subtle/insidious cut and thrust of the boardroom.
Cheers

I’d fully agree, Caroline, if he were the Chairperson of structured/accountable organization. He’s not. He seems like a ‘regular’ bloke who did his best to break through their ultra sanitized billionaire corporate bubble in an effort to improve the fan experience. Ultimately fruitless, but kudos.
December 13, 2024 at 5:39 PM
Agreed, but an imperfect messenger should not dilute from the importance of the message. Desperate times, etc.
The effort the fella put in (and others like him) should be lauded.
It’s actually quite sad that this was likely the last of such efforts - a last link to a fondly remembered past.
December 13, 2024 at 5:00 PM
A fantastic effort, mate - but there’s only so many times you can be expected to bang your head against their corporate wall.
Much respect 🫡

Love your work, Caroline, but that’s a terrible take.

‘They know not what they do’…twats.

These owners motives are very different from ours, Ria.
There have been valiant attempts by groups like @ROTS1882 to bring like minded fans together to ignite the atmosphere, but the club pays lip service only.
If the Park Lane were united, the ‘Tourist’ issue would be irrelevant.
December 10, 2024 at 10:13 PM
Ria - It’s a really unfortunate issue and totally avoidable - born of the catastrophic seating allocation ‘mistakes’ made primarily in the Park Lane by Levy (1882, etc). There are real atmosphere problems at THS but folks should direct their ire where it belongs, not at other Spurs supporters.

The stuff of nightmares..
December 7, 2024 at 7:08 PM
I think we’ll see the home support galvanize around Ange tomorrow 👊.
December 7, 2024 at 7:05 PM
Most of the current discourse around Ange is daft. Talk of his sacking is ridiculously premature - No where near enough momentum for the club to bin him off. Ask me again if we crash out of Europa, senior players down tools and The PL are baying for Levy’s head…
December 7, 2024 at 6:59 PM
Heartsick that a generational opportunity at the PL has been cynically squandered by the owners. Much was possible (hoped for) but increasingly we are left with a failed ‘promise’ which has inevitably led to us turning on ourselves.
Could be the envy of the sports world and loved by us.
