Hot off the needles! Pattern - Dalekanium Socks. Yarn - Dottir Dye Works. Colourway - Unicorn Farts. Friends went to Iceland, discovered a local yarn shop, & asked if I wanted any. I couldn’t pass up Unicorn Farts! I love this pattern b/c the slipped stitches allow you to see the colour variation.

Secret Garden Baby Blanket (Ravelry)

The sewing machine has been idle since November when I made a dress for Christmas. It’s been even longer since I’ve done any baby gift sewing = 4 over-the-shoulder burp cloths, 6 double-sided flannel swaddling blankets (1m x 1m), 6 small bibs, and 6 large bibs. Whew! 😅 🧵 🪡

I finished the Lace and Diamonds Heirloom baby blanket just after Christmas, but having been away for most of January, I hadn’t had time to block it until this week. It’s done in white Snuggly Wuggly yarn. The pattern is on Ravelry, and it’s one of my favourites.

So, a few weeks ago, I decided the Christmas season wasn’t busy enough, and I bought fabric for a Christmas dress. Of course, then I had to actually make it, which was when I began regretting my life choices 🤪. However, it’s now ready for the annual Christmas Eve party! (pattern - Simplicity S9739)
