Consistency and safety are valued most for solo- characters near to the top will carry you, characters closer to the bottom require you to be good at the game.

Ironeye: Character is broken. Has the best skill in the game in Mark which gives damage+, huge invul window, huge stance damage. Good ARC scaling for status, can attack from safety, outclasses every character in every meaningful way. Guardian: Considered by most to be the worst character in the game, which may be true for non-solo play. Requires significant investment to become strong and has a limited playstyle, but that playstyle is overwhelmingly effective against a significant amount of the enemies you encounter, although the exceptions do tend to cause issues. Duchess: Massive double-dodge window and replay skill are so strong that it doesn't matter that her Ult slot is wasted. Raider: The unique moveset is just abysmal, but his ability to poise through everything and do major stance damage is an amazing defensive ability. Despite only playing him 5 times I've won 4/5, that's with essentially no in depth character knowledge. I rank him low because it does require more conscientious play that the three above him. Executor: Parrying is a defensive tool, his Ult is a defensive tool. His main damage being tied to status build up on attacks from ARC work well with a patient playstyle. Although I have a higher w/r with them I still rank them low because if you miss the parry window you can end up in trouble very quickly, so he is somewhat high-risk, normal-reward. Wylder: Has no defensive abilities- you actually have to be good at the game to fully utilize him, whereas all character listed above have tools to help them out of bad situations. For that reason I find him much more inconsistent, and scalings, damage, and abilities do not make up for this weakness. (He is probably second best in the game in the hands of a good player). Recluse & Revenant continued in next pictures alt text... Recluse: Very RNG dependent; runs can be cakewalks (with Adula's Moonblade especially) or extremely difficult. Her special casting abilities become difficult to use if not outright worthless against certain field bosses and Nightlords due to the slow speed of casting. You are also limited in what skill spells you'll be able to use since you now have to apply and collect the different types of residue yourself. Revenant: Even more RNG dependent without the amazing dodge the Recluse has. Her summons are useful for overworld but generally inconsequential against Nightlords. I am also by far the worst with this character and I think they take a bit more skill than I have to be able to pilot them on solo, she is definitely the one I am looking forward to playing most when Duos are added. Successful expeditions (didn't start this list from the outset so some runs were omitted)
