Got my new ride today.

Biked home the 14 miles from the bike shop. It was a beautiful day for it in New England.

Holy cow Cambridge and Somerville have really upped their bike infrastructure game since I was biking everywhere 20+ years ago!
A blue E bike with panniers and a passenger seat in back, large enough to hold an adult. The model is a Tern GSD S10. The bike sits in a shed, which is unfinished wood on the inside.

From a Facebook group called “Stony Brook Reservation Boston”, a person whose name is scribbled out posts: “l've come across more homeless camps hidden in the forest. What do people recommend? I left them alone but then a week later a differnet camp set the forest ablaze. Assuming this has been an ongoing issue, what options are available to create a safe environment for all parties invovled?” My response: Invite them into your home and give them a place to live if they accept. Otherwise leave them alone. If you see a forest fire then call the fire department. There have been people in tents there for a long time. They're not an "issue". You are just uncomfortable, which is a you "issue".

Is that why I saw this in a used bookstore? (The “male authors” were Crichton and Grisham types, women side was Nora Roberts and Jude Deveraux types. Alexander McCall smith was under “contemporary classics”.)

I did NOT ask where the nonbinary authors were.
A used bookstore, hooked on books, in Wildwood NJ. Labels on the shelves point to “female authors”, “historical romance” (same side as female authors), and “male authors.”

You can label your own posts but there’s a limited set and it’s for content moderation and only shows up when you add a link or a pic or similar - see this screenshot of my last post with “Labels” under it…

No idea. Here’s 5 seconds of detective work on my part….i don’t see those labels. They’re definitely labels according to clearsky (see screenshot).

they’re not because of a moderation list (this dude is on plenty, but nothing named those).

And I taped it next to the shelf with all the paint. I don’t want to make anyone cry but it’s a thing of joy. This piece of paper is 13 years old. And actually I should write down the purple which we used when we finished my office 7 years ago (though it’s wisteria, haven’t forgotten yet)

The way my 6yo’s eyes lit up when I showed her this before spraying her bedroom makes me think this is a product that, if put at kid-eye level in the grocery store, would sell a LOT.

Make it lavender scented to help kids sleep or whatever.

I mean, I’m a magic mommy who can make her own but….
