The American sitting next to me pronounced “bath” with a slight “r” (a southern English pronunciation (“barth”)). The pronunciation of “Las” in “Las Vegas” is like the northern English pronunciation of Lass - I don’t I’ve ever heard it pronounced with a silent r!!
