At the wonderful Centre Culturel Irlandais in Paris. Right in the Latin Quarter, next to the Panthéon. It’s not just artist residencies and long-term accommodation - anyone with an interest in Irish culture can avail of very reasonable rates for short-term stays.

This fella comes to visit us every day when the dog isn’t looking. Not to be too essentialist or whatnot, but he’s just so macho. I’ve never in my life met a cat with such swagger. Look at those eyes; he’s even got little freckles on his nose (this photo doesn’t do them any justice, sadly)
