Thought it was just post-Pride blues but if you’ve got a sore throat or any respiratory symptoms — yes, even mild — in the middle of summer, odds are it’s Covid.
I tested negative yesterday. This morning: positive

I think Merleau-Ponty is great on the affective dimensions of thought i.e., the ways that we think is ultimately bound up with the ways things are perceived meaningful for us as human beings. Here he is in the Preface of PP

This fella comes to visit us every day when the dog isn’t looking. Not to be too essentialist or whatnot, but he’s just so macho. I’ve never in my life met a cat with such swagger. Look at those eyes; he’s even got little freckles on his nose (this photo doesn’t do them any justice, sadly)

Like all of us, Ellie is completely outraged by the state of the world. But instead of relaxing in a nice bubble bath, she prefers to decompress from the stresses of the world by eating everyone’s slippers while they sleep.
