Urban cyclist. Passionately interested in safe cycling infrastructure in and around Burnaby BC 🇨🇦 and the lower mainland. Interested in local, provincial and national politics. Views my own.
Oh wow! 🤩 Oh don’t get me started on how fabulous this is. So lucky. So convenient. Last year my mom was in the hospital for about 3 weeks and I rode every day to see her. I had this….(my ebike w/red pannier).

Say hello to The Mayors $10m Bridge which spans S.Bby to N.Bby. Now some would say..great. I say cycling infrastructure over most of Burnaby is unsafe and not AAA. We lack many bike buttons, signage, good lighting, and connectivity. Don’t get me started in the ‘last mile’ from home. 🤦‍♀️

I ride this route regular to get through my very non-cycle friendly community of Burnaby BC. A new cul de sac created that provides, and not to my surprize more ample FREE parking to cars. All day every day.

Yes….we… can! 🥰

Inspired by cold feet (awful to have) I bought these little
red waterproof numbers at Marks Work Warehouse, and little foot inserts. Warm feet are happy feet.

Important task to complete in the life of a cargo bike owner. Ms Muli and I went shopping today and we cycled home with enough for another 10 days or so. Lots of questions about her capacity up front (70kg) and yes she is a monster going up hills. 🥰

Absolutely agree. I bought a Muli made in Germany from Velolifestyle in Vancouver BC 2025 and never looked back. Yes expensive, $10k but what a work horse and such a beautiful ride. No kids but I take it everywhere.

Terribly important work to be carried out in my handy dandy little cargo bike. (Off to visit the recycling depot). 😉

Very very Important things to take care of when out on my bike.

Wow! Too much money for a car. 😵
Could get a fleet of bikes for the family at this price even really really cool e-bikes. Like these……

Important cargo….
October 8, 2025 at 3:30 AM
These are one of the many extremely important items I cart around in my Muli cargo bike. Yes, that’s apple pie. 😉

Here’s my cargo bike. Can she carry sh*t. 😉

I see your beauty and I raise with mine. 🥰 We both be weird, together.

I live in Burnaby BC 🇨🇦 and I purchased a cargo Muli from Velolifestyle, and she is a monster. Can carry groceries and more. We have poor infrastructure in Burnaby, really just paint, slow roads some
MUPs. I and many others ride because you are correct it’s lower cost, it’s healthy and it’s fun!

Free free Palestine! In Vancouver BC . What a turnout! Me and my Muli! 1000’s of people. Fantastic.

I see your beautiful bike and offer mine up in shallow comparison. I have a Muli from Germany and she’s a monster.

Went to the very first car free day EVER in Burnaby BC on Sunday August 31. I support a group called ace (advancing cycling for everyone) and am bringing a bike stand, banners, boxes of handouts and maps. We will do bike checks, give out maps and talk about the state of cycling in Burnaby. 🙄

Would really like to know what the criteria is used by the city of Burnaby when it comes to flashing bike/ped lights. City seems to randomly add flashing lights as if tossing a coin. Anyone know?

Look at this bit of beautiful cycling Infrastructure in east Vancouver BC. Vancouver seems to do a good job of actually understanding what the problem is, and in this case it’s traffic calming the neighbourhood for cyclists.

A day at the park with my Muli. Perhaps one of the nicest outdoor pool/parks I can find in Vancouver. (Or maybe not. There are many).
August 25, 2025 at 7:46 PM
Sometimes this happens. 🤷‍♀️
Here’s my most recent little friend that also went outside. He or she was about 2.5-3” across. Disturbed during kitchen renos.

I have a Muli cargo bike. Anyone have a good idea for a ‘home grown’ cover that I can make when I need my items not to get wet? Anyone tried just a tarp cover? Using bungee cords or heavier duty clips? Thanks

Totally! Love mine. 7 weeks and 900 kilometres later….🥰
Amongst many tasks we travel to the garden shop to get stuff. I find a cargo bike is like having a mini e-car.
August 14, 2025 at 12:31 AM
I also have a cargo ebike and have never been happier. It’s so great to just…go. Always front row parking and the breeze in my face is fabulous. Rain well it is wet. I would like to see more opportunities for low income people to get onto e-bikes. Not just rebates.
