What does Poor Edward do for Hallowmas normally?? Does he participate or is it annoying when everyone is masked? Ive decided my money's on: wears normal mask, no attempt to hide his identity, "confesses" his various unsettling crimes to unsuspecting londoners and has a great time

A comic depicting my Fallen London character, Samuel, playing chess with the boatman of death, declaring "ha!" as he makes a winning move, then waking up in his bed and immediately getting dressed and leaving his lodgings. His hound of heaven (a large white snake) and several weasels watch him go. The second part of a comic depicting my Fallen London character, Samuel, entering the Brass Embassy - he passes a goat-demon guarding the door, who snorts at him unimpressed, then passes a devil lady in a pinstripe suit who's yelling "Stop dying!" and "Why do you keep-" and "Do you have any idea how much paperwork" and Samuel just glances to the side and ignores her as he walks past. The imp overseeing the law furnace says, "Right. Hope you learned your lesson-" but Samuel walks past him, too, straight up to the law furnace, and starts climbing inside, reaching for something shiny in the corner, and muttering "this... time... for... sure..." The third part of a comic depicting my Fallen London character, Samuel, horrifically distorted as the ash from law furnace un-makes and disintegrates him. In the next panel Samuel is back on the bank of the river of death, rubbing the bridge of his nose with irritation, as the boatman pulls his boat up next to him and says "I do have other passengers to ferry, you know..."

Fallen London is a game where I sometimes buy an item I absolutely do not need, instead of any of the items I do need, solely b/c the text for buying it says "maybe you've worn it too long, and are afraid of how hard it will be to pull off" and thats delightful to imagine for my guy

The shopkeep replies "Can't part with it, eh?" and Samuel does not respond.

friend on tumblr was running a poll for "what colour do you think poor edward's coat actually is" and got several votes for dark purple. id never considered dark purple edward, what a fascinating thought..... i needed to scribble it and see it for myself

I THINK MY KID FELL ON ME??? the ship's crew said Sam got hit by a "crustacean creature" from the roof that seemed "unusually mortified" by the situation. AMAZING. What a way to go. Obliterated by child. Crushed by a diamond the size of a cow. I got 5000 glim for this

A drawing of the hybrid child, now grown up - it is a creature that looks like a bug-like crustacean with many crab-like legs and brightly glowing blue-purple armour on its shell, but with a more humanoid torso and face, except it has mandibles in place of a human mouth. It looks very startled and has apparently fallen onto its back with all its legs in the air, directly on top of Samuel, who is lying crushed on the ground under its carapace. The shadows of his shocked crew can be seen in the background. A little label pointing to the hybrid reads "like father like child," and a label pointing to Samuel reads "dead instantly."

OHHH tough call.... A's chunkiness is a cool departure but B's little chips of ore also look great and feels like it'd be easier to do the Flowering Vines trick with (depending how vines end up looking I suppose!) So for this silly reason I'm tempted to lean towards B, but both are nice

Neathy Fashion Coalition on tumblr is doing a Parabola theme this time; Samuel is too boring for Fancy Dream Clothes so I gave him a look for nightmare hunting!!
(also, he's been doing a lot of ratty activities in dreams lately, that might be having a bit of an effect on him...)

My Fallen London character, Samuel, knocked to the ground and getting swarmed by terror birds: extremely large flightless birds with sharp beaks, and in some cases implausible teeth. His clothes are torn up as they're all chomping him affectionately, while he tries to push their very large fluffy-feathered bodies away, calling for "a little help?!" Behind him stands Victor's Fallen London character, Tomas, who comments with nervous confusion, "They... really like you?" while the Raven on their shoulder is thinking, "Stinky..."

the new #fallenlondon agents feature lets you loan equipment to the luckless captain so he can do tasks for you in the background, and if you got the "Loyal Nightmare of Poor Edward" in #lightfingers ... that counts as equipment....
A comic that begins with the Luckless Captain from Fallen London, studying maps in his cabin. In the second panel, he's dozed off at his desk as the candle burns low, and the image transitions to a dream in the next panel: the Luckless Captain looks around, stunned, to find himself standing in the bright white hallway of the Nightmare-Orphanage, with hallways and doors and stairs sitting at impossible angles, upside-down and sideways. In the next panel, the Captain looks around, frightened, asking "What manner of nightmare..." while behind him, a dark shadow is cast across the askew hallway, with Poor Edward's tragic red mask emerging from the shadow. "Ah," Poor Edward says, "you must be the Luckless Captain." The Captain turns to face him, teeth grit and wide-eyed. Poor Edward bows, smiling cruelly behind his mask, and adds "I'm told I'm meant to look after you."

When the lorn-fluke attacked London a year ago, Sam only knew how to shoot it, but friend's oc Lukas (slightly-sigilant on tumblr) reached out to apologise in its language. This altered Samuel's whole view of the Neath, so I'm a lil emotional about Sam being able to apologise this time #fallenlondon
A series of images, laid out like a comic page. The first is a drawing of my Fallen London character, Samuel, as he looked about a year ago, on the deck of his ship with slightly-sigilant's character, Lukas. The water is boiling and the ship is ringed by fire. Samuel stands nervously beside the canon, but Lukas has reached out a hand to stop him, the other hand outstretched to the zee beyond, with a desperate expression, and is singing correspondence sigils as smoke curls off his hair and mouth. The whole image has the texture and dulled colours of an older photo. The second image is fully coloured, a ship racing through a flaming zee towards the lorn-fluke, a giant sea-urchin like creature with a single glowing eye that floods the whole scene with searing pink light, whose spines seem to fill the whole sky. The final image follows this one -- Samuel, as he is now stands on deck, lit by the same searing light, hand outstretched and giving his all to singing the same correspondence that Lukas sang a year ago, hair singing and his eye tearing up.

A game about a betrayal might be a weird pick, but there's so many times I've needed this game. In the end it's a game about creation, and it's helped me process my own feelings and resonated with me more deeply than I can really express.

i thought it would be neat if he lost an eye in that final scuffle, and all my friends agreed he's very handsome in an eyepatch, which is of course the most important factor in character decisions
