DS9 did a good job of showing the outskirts of this Federation utopia. How it can fray a bit out at the edges where it is up against other factions. The hard choices people still needed to make in order to protect and maintain the vision. Great stuff.

I need.. NEED them to do away with "Starfleet is bad actually."

I understand a random bad admiral of the week. A badmiral, ok, fine. But Starfleet itself is the whole vision of Star Trek! Stop tearing it down!

And now they're making a Section 31 movie about the edgy bad side of Starfleet. 🙄

New Spock grows on you as he settles into the role. Definitely check it out. It's easily the best Trek since the 90s. The episodic stories are refreshing and uplifting and often just plain fun.

It was fun, as big spectacle movies go. But I swear, walking in, if you had given me 10 guesses of how this movie ends, I would have never guessed "They kill the twisters."

Welcome, Kevin! Glad you could join us. I was a never-poster over on the other app... but the vibes in this place are nicer, so I'm actually starting to see the appeal of talking to folks again.
