However, there is a whiff of Arms Race about the place..pre-WW1 more so perhaps? Coupled with a sense of 'nostalgia' across the liberal democracies for strong man governments and scare mongering...its hard not to fear the atmosphere of the 1930s. We need to face this and protect our democracies.

This analysis, language and tone doesn't offer much hope for a mature and principled end to this war. Tantrums, shouting, foot stomping and breath holding are undignified and unbecoming of the leader of a country that so many hold in high regard. This is deeply depressing.

I wonder if the evolutionary process and our consciousness of it requires us to be the best that we can be. Is that a purpose? The scientific method and rigorous thinking is underpinned by and evolved from earlier albeit rudimentary ideas. might be prudent to be careful throwing out the bathwater

clever marketing..hope its ethically sourced..looks like its sold in church settings so unlikely to offend 'casual shoppers'. Good humoured Catholics (lapsed or otherwise) will recognise the commercialisation element and will price that into their morning meditation over a freshly brewed cup of java

its origins are authentic, its relevance to the much of the diaspora acknowledged, its story of migration, slavery and trafficking still alarmingly relevant If we can ignore the crass commercialisation there's still a valuable story for us to share with the world

Or maybe for non delivery of slaintecare, long waits for kids surgery, the nightmare of a+e, disability services and no coherent strategy for the elderly, access to GPs and the perceived runaway project that is the childrens hospital. Few would've envied him the job but on his watch so...?
