I have no idea. The lower leg looks like it has no meat on it. There are remains of a deer head at the den with the fur and skin still on it. When I saw the fox coming up the hill, it looked to me like it had a board in it’s mouth. Then I looked at the photo. Also, a goose wing outside den.

Yes. I saw there was a deer head near the den that the kits would play with. Also, a goose wing and various other objects. This guy was near my car and just appeared with the leg out of the grass.

I was about 20 ft from my car. Less than 10feet from the road. I still don’t know how I did it. I just know I ended up on the ground in pain. A passerby saw me fall and came over to help me and call an ambulance.

No. It’s in southern Colorado. I do know the nest at White Rock Lake though.
