In fairness, if there is one thing on which JD Vance is a resident expert it is, undoubtedly, smugly spreading stories that are complete and utter bullshit.

Difficult to gauge whether the administration considers the “very bad things” to be ending apartheid or denying Starlink a license to operate in South Africa, but it’s relatively clear that the US is now in the business of crafting foreign policy aligned with Elon Musk’s personal grievances.
