I fell in love with Urban Lit, Romance, and my Kindle. Now I’ve got to talk to someone about it—might as well be you! 📚

In Sweet Honesty by Joan Vassar, the story opens at a wedding, but it’s the groom’s secret lover and best friend, Michael, who steals the spotlight. Like Etta James sang, “I saw my love walk down the aisle…” At 1:15 PM, he checked his watch and ended the relationship that shaped his whole life.

Joan Vassar's Sweet Honesty is a different perspective of black gay like in the 1950s. All the glamour none of the BS (e.g Racism & Homophobia). It's there but it's not prominent enough to warrant concern for your mental health.

Spending my day with "Sweet Honesty" by Joan Vassar.
This book didn’t just introduce me to urban M/M romance, it baptized me in it. Kindle Unlimited never knew peace after this one.

Welcome to my corner of the sky. Expect book rants, chaotic commentary, and a safe space for certified smut readers and plot girlies alike. Let’s get into it. ✨📚

I’m just a little too obsessed with Urban Lit, messy romances, and the Kindle that goes everywhere with me. If it’s got drama, heart, or heat, I’m reading it.
