*The light was approved by the city in 2021 (after being petitioned by the neighborhood), but was unfunded with no target for funding. When the contractor putting in the sharrows was bragging about installing lidar sensors at all lights along the route to better detect cyclists...

There are ways to make it work but they absolutely refuse to discuss. At the public meetings they'd say "talk to the city"when the trail was brought up, but when you ask the city they say "we have to go around".

We're out of money after spending 19M and have to come up with more to finish the literal last mile. But going around from the middle will cost a significant amount due to the less than ideal terrain.
